Insulation Manager
Since 2016, an add-in for Autodesk Revit has been developed for a manufacturer of insulation materials with 2000 employees, an internationally active company specialising in insulation for pipe and duct networks. This automatically selects the manufacturer's required product depending on the existing pipe or air duct component in the BIM model. The solution is multilingual and is distributed to BIM planners worldwide. The solution also includes a tool for managing articles and localisations. This is used to configure the available products for the local markets. Its functionality was further expanded in 2019: since the implementation of the auto-isolation function, the MEP planner can now isolate fully automatically and very intuitively. The user, e.g. a heating planner, can now concentrate on designing the pipework networks, while the technical insulation is automated and rule-based.
